Our Nailed It! Holiday Bake Off is back—this time fully online and more festive than ever! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned baker, register to join this social media showdown. Hey Blue Springs!
We need YOUR help to keep our beautiful city clean and green. Gather friends, family, coworkers, church or communinty group to join one of three different teams for Green Up the Blue, Saturday, April 18. Check-in and day-of registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a brief meeting at 9 a.m. before everyone departs to their respective areas.
Stream Team – focus on streams, creeks, ponds and lakes to clean up banks and surrounding areas
Guardians of the Green – focus on greenspaces such as parks or areas not in the right-of-ways
Roadside Wranglers – focus on right-of-ways at I-70 and Woods Chapel Road; I-70 and 7 Highway; and I-70 and Adams Dairy Parkway
What to Bring

MAYOR'S CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

Due to winter weather, we’ve made a few adjustments to the Mayor’s Tree Lighting on December 2. The event will now begin at 5:30 p.m. with remarks from Mayor Lievsay, followed by the countdown to light up the Comcast/Xfinity North Pole Trail of Lights for the first time this season. Because BSSD schools were closed today, performances from local schools will not take place.
The community is still invited to bundle up and join us in-person at Rotary Park—Santa will be there too! We will also stream the ceremony on Facebook Live for anyone who prefers to watch from home.
